There have been many debates over whether or not cell phone use causes cancer. More studies are needed, but studies so far show that avid cell phone users can be up to two times more likely to have malignant tumors in the brain.

Here are some facts:

Radiation is emitting from the cell phone whenever it is on. You do not have to be talking for it to emit radiation, and there is more radiation when you are texting or talking. The heat you feel from your phone after talking too long is from radiation, so getting a bluetooth headset might be a good idea, even if you might look like an ass:

But talking less in general is the best way to go, because the constant amount of radiation from bluetooth headsets eventually adds up.

Some researchers have found links of cell phone usage to male infertility, with sperm becoming less motile after being exposed to radiation. We wouldn’t want that, now would we?

Texting

This is the generation of texters. More and more people would rather text then talk – they get time to think of responses or to not respond at all. Despite the way in which it has altered the way people communicate, this may have a positive effect after all. Cell phones are further away from the head and body when people text, exposing them to less radiation compared to when talking on the phone.
